I guess this really (finally) qualifies as “winter running”.  Three miles, easy pace (and that snow is somewhat of a pace killer).  I’m sure it will get a lot colder before it gets warm though.

BTW, Under Armour ColdGear leggings really do keep you warm.

14.13 miles.  2:13:51.  9:28/mile.  Supposed to do 13, but I got all jacked up out north of the lake and it added to the route.  Good negative split though.  First 6.5 - 1:02:27, Second 6.5 - 1:00:31.  Legs already hurt, but I’m sure it’s nothing compared to how they’ll fell later tonight and tomorrow.

Finished just over 120 in October.  First half of the month was on the track at the YMCA, before I moved it outside and picked up a different plan.

7.2 miles today for the long run this week - 9:17 pace.  Next week the long run goes up to 12 miles, which will be a personal length record.  The thought of running in the blowing snow makes me shiver now.
Goals to get to:
6/4/11 - Sunburst Marathon
Second weekend in August, 2012 - Steelhead Half-Iron Triathlon
June, 2013 - Ironman, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho
Of course, various half marathons, sprint Tri’s and an Olympic Tri thrown in along the way.  Looks to be quite the journey.

First post

Not sure how well this’ll go, or how long I’ll keep it up, but here goes.

Today, I ran 10 miles - the farthest I’ve ever run in my life.  While I want to lose some weight, I’m more interested in building my endurance.  I’m looking at a 10K on Thanksgiving, a half-marathon in early April, and the South Bend Sunburst marathon on June 4, 2011.  Long term - I want to complete the Ironman Triathalon… before I’m 40… that gives me just under 3 years.  We’ll see.

Oh, the 10 miles was at a 9:22 pace.  Plenty of time to get that half time down to 2 hours before April.
